PiNK- Victoria's Secret Inspired Nails

Hello there, good morning! I haven't done a nail post in a while with work/mommy duties, trying to work on my fitness, and eating well. So this month i decided to do #thenailtrailoct challenge. Its a challenge made up by a nail art artist known as The Nail Trail. As far as i know this is her 3rd challenge and this time i wanted to join in the fun! PiNK was day 1's theme. I literally took out all my pink colors and thought hmmm what should i do? And bam! It hit me. I decided to combine pinks. I choose two different colors. One was from Sinful Colors polish called "soul mate". The second pink was from NYC polish called "pink promenade". I went with stripes because it's something i hadn't done in a while. As I was striping my nails I realized the colors i used reminded me of something... the Victoria's Secret pink bag! So for my ring finger i wanted to do a logo inspired by VS. Now I did try to do the cute lil dog but after many attempts at that i went with the heart instead. At the end i thought my design looked cute, fun, girly, and PiNK! :) I'm so excited to continue the rest of this month's challenge! I'm gonna post pictures down below i just wanted to do all the writing first and get the pictures out my phone into the comp. I was thinking bout doing a tutorial on this. Don't Throw in the Towel!

hello, there! good morning ladies! this is more of a status than a post today. i'm feeling great! i am going to be leaving for work in a few so i thought i would do a weight-loss update before i go.

weight-loss update- so far i've lost only a pound since my last update. i am currently on 174lb. however, i'm not giving up or throwing in the towel. i still have a long way to go. i also still maintain eating healthy which is IMPORTANT if your not hitting the gym 5/7 a week. i'm not go lie the last couple of day i've missed my workouts because i've been feeling lazy and looking for "excuses" to exempt me from going, but last night i HAD to find motivation on google or online to get my behind to the gym. i had to remember why i started and that it will be all worth it when i reach my goal! :)

that is all for my weight-loss journey update. i get off early today so maybe later i post about relationships. something that's been on my mind lately. maybe you can weigh in too.!

OFFICIALLY 20lbs DOWN!

YES! I'm winning ladies, I can proudly now say I have reached my 20lb goal. I am beyond excited, motivated and more driven to not stop!

Since my last post my weight was at 177lbs. I am now at 175lbs and maintaining at this weight level. This means that i have lost 20lbs! Yay meee! I'm so glad that not only have i lost 20lbs to this day but STILL keep at 175lbs even if I'm not losing more weight any faster. Losing the weight is awesome! I love seeing the results of my hard work on my body but what is even more amazing is that I'm not gaining! That is a big PLUS.

I have been changing my workout routines, which I can see are helping me a whole bunch! Into the next month of October I will be doing 2x a day workouts 5/7 of the week to get faster results.

Now i wish i can say i don't have no cheats because that would be an absolute lie! I do allow to treat myself with something sweet. However, i have learned to keep it at just a small treat on my awesome work so far! I'm also getting really good with portion control now. Unlike before where i would have double or even triple portions! :/

I would also like to share with you some of my favorite snacks which include apples, and nuts like almonds and pistachios. Mmmm. Green tea is also a must along with WATER.

I have set some goals for my weight loss journey from the beginning. They are:

START = 195lbs

Aug. 14, 2013 - 10lbs
Sept. 14, 2013 - 10lbs
Oct. 14, 2013 - 15lbs
Nov. 14, 2013 - 15lbs
Dec. 14, 2013 - 10lbs
Jan. 14, 2013 - 5lbs
Feb. 14, 2013  - 130lbs - GOAL

TOTAL LOSS = 65lbs

So far so good! Gotta keep positive and motivated at all times even thru those rough patches! YOU want to start feeling good and change YOUR life for YOU!? What you waiting for?? If i can do it so can you! So get outta this page and screen and make your plan for a new you!

My Weight-Loss Journey!

Hello there! I know I haven't posted on this blog in a longg while but hopefully i can change that soon and start posting at least 2X a week. (lets see how this goes lol)

MY WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY has begun! Yes, it has. I can officially say I have been fighting this since the beginning of this year. I failed at least 3 diets i tried to start. Although i failed i sure did learn a bit from each one that i did.

On my 1st "diet trial" i learned how to let go sodas which was one my ultimate no no drink. It was just so convinent everywhere especially at my job. Slowly taking day by day it became easier. Till this day I can say I can be around so and not have the urge to reach for it! Water is my drink now. I drink at least a gallon a day.

On my 2nd "diet trial" I had to learn to stay and keep away from one of my favorite/unhealthy places to eat, McDONALD'S! Yes, that's right I'm a junky when it come to that place. I know its bad bla bla bla. So when hitting the drive thru EVERY OTHER DAY started to take a toll on my body I decided to quit! I now stay away from fast foods especially McDONALD'S and choose to stock up on healthy foods like fruits and nuts to snack on. Apples have slowly become a FAVORITE fruit of mine since starting back up in Aug. I thought I would never say that.

On my 3rd "diet trail" I had to learn consistency. Yes. For going to the gym. I had to push my self to go to the gym and burn my fat off.

4th time! - I am currently on my 4th diet of this year and I'm not gonna call it a "diet trial" because this time I'm motivated than ever to SUCCEED! My journey to better myself and lose this fat started Aug. 14 2013. Since Aug. 14 to now Sept. 14 (a month later) I have lost 18lbs +counting. I'm so proud I can see the change but I can't wait to see the final results and until I get to that moment I cannot and will not give up! If you are to determined to change for the better I wish you the same!

Drops of Jade French Tips (Maybelline New York Colorshow)

hellooo all! above and and below are some pics of my newest nail design. i was at target looking at the nail section and finally decided to try Maybelline New York Colorshow nail polish. i got "drops of jade". i also wanted to do some french tips in black using sally hansen extreme wear "black out", for my base color i used another color i love from sally's extreme wear called, "kiwi bikini" and topped it off with of course "drops of jade" by maybelline's colorshow...  so here is my design come to life! i love these. great for date night or special outings. more pics beloww!

Crisscrossed Diamonds Nails (Polka-Dot Version)

i want to start of saying that this design is one of my favorites! i recently brought striping tape for the very first and wanted to try out some designs. i really like the crisscross diamond patter but i wanted to add more to the design so i added polka-dots at each end of the diamond shape and viola my design for these nails!

the nail polishes i used on these nails were "black out" in black (salley hansen extreme wear) and "best friend" in gold. (or champagne- color i like to call instead) (pure ice)

Floral Water-Marble Nails

 

so with a somewhat sad news from yesterday i didnt get to post my manicure for saturday. i know my pictures aren't that great (need new cam) but down below are pics of my floral water-marble manicure. i first started water-marble nails a year ago and for some reason i feel like i did it way better in the past cuz now i struggle wit lil air bubble if anyone has any suggestions for me to try be comment below! :)

nail polishes i used were sinful colors blue; savage, green; mint apple  and sally hansen extreme wear white; white out.

i really liked the outcome of my water-marble nails with the partial floral design they turned out real cute and great for summer wear! :)

Wild Hot Pink Nails

4th of July Nails

yes, yes, yes i know i a lil bit late on this post wit the holiday being over already but i still want to post it on my blog. im really happy how they turned out and YES cuz it was a holiday i wore them to work! :) my excuse was that it would be festive and patriotic haha. this nail design idea completely done by me. and it was great to get the positive feedback from my customers that day from work i even got complements from some guys huh i guess they do notice.

below are my 4th of July nails. used sally hansen nail polish red, white and blue.

i really wanted to do some patriotic nails for this year but i didn't know what i was gonna do. i wanted to come up something i haven't seen on other blogs or on youtube. lately i've been doing a lot of polka dots so i thought i would incorporate them in my nail design. thats when i thought that i could do white polka dots on top of a blue coat representing the stars on the american flag. for the index and ring finger i decided to make a red nails and 3 white strips to represent the stripes on the flag. and yes yes i know i didn't make more then three stripes because it would clash with the polka dots. and now my fav part was the thumb nail! i wanted it to be different. i originally wanted to do stars instead of white polka dots but i don't own any star stamps that i could have used so i decided to find some stickers. i found some at Walmart near the scrapbooking department for only a $1! then i added a couple more white polka dots and top coat it at least 3 times so i sticker don't come out. or else it will. ..it really turned out great i think! let me know what you think of my patriotic nails! comment below. :)

Bright Summer Inspired Nails

hey there! to all who stumble upon my blog... today i did some summer inspired nails. I ABSOLUTELY love them!.. too bad because of my job I have to take them off tomorrow :(  bt oh well. i really got into nails bout a year ago. i stopped doing them cuz i really didn't have the time due to being busy working 2 jobs...
